What did people say?

Our clients and partners made some extremely good comments about us showing that our work is really valued:

• From a young person offering their ‘highest gratitude and compliments’ to Connexions and their PA who ‘gave them the self confidence and motivation needed’ and helped them find a training course that was suitable. The young person commented that they wouldn’t be where they are today if it wasn’t for their PA stating ‘I am happier than I have been in a very long time as now I finally feel that I have been placed on the right track’. It is nice to know that the work we do makes such a difference.

• Four young people made some really positive comments:
- ‘friendly staff answered all our questions and we got lots of information to take away’
- ‘I got all the information I needed and found out everything I needed to’
- ‘your team are very supportive and I got the information that I was looking for'
- ’thank-you very much for your help'
- ‘staff were nice, they treated us nicely, they answered our questions, we had plenty
   of time to browse’

• ‘people in Connexions are helpful and help you the best they can’

• ‘the people were very helpful and supportive, the information I received was the information I was looking for’

Staff from a partner organisation were singing the praises of a member of staff who they work closely with stating that they consider her work with young people to be of a very high standard and invaluable.

• ‘the way that Connexions keep in touch with their clients is at a good standard’

• ‘since being here things have been to my satisfaction’

• ‘I am happy with your Connexions service’

• From a partner organisation expressing their sincere thanks for Connexions contribution to work with their pupils who stated the experience was extremely beneficial and worthwhile.

• From a partner organisation thanking a member of staff who has been working with them in a voluntary capacity for over 4 months for their commitment and significant contribution to improving the quality of their work.

• The changes made to how the 1 View form is displayed on the website has been successful and resulted in a compliment from another Connexions partnership ‘I have been impressed with the way your comments form is on the website. Better than other websites as it is not hidden’


We received and resolved 10 complaints that included a young person not liking our colour scheme, comments that the office was too hot and people having difficulty gaining access to premises.

All complaints and suggestions have been responded to, where required, and actioned by the manager concerned.

On the 1st February our Newcastle Connexions Centre in Percy Street gave out "1 View... Your View" leaflets to each visitor and this resulted in 11 comments being received.
